HVDC systems are the backbone of many modern offshore wind and interconnector projetcs, but they also present significant technical and operational risks.
This presentation explores the most common HVDC failure mechanisms and the practical measures that can be implemented to reduce risk throughout design, manufacturing, transportation, installation and operation.
We will also examine offshore verification requirements, marine warranty survey considerations and the importance of robust interface management.
